The Village Market Shopping Mall is close by, offering a diverse choice of restaurants, bars, shops and the latest big screen movies. It hosts the well known `Masai market’ each Friday; which offers items for sale of indigenous paintings, carvings, basketry and bead work. Bargaining is a must.

Handcrafted local jewellery interspersed with semi-precious stones, Indian silver and West African trade beads, interesting works of small and large wildlife art forms out of scrap metal, local handblown glass tableware articles, beautiful handcrafted figures made of bronze (cast in Italy), a wonderful variety of original paintings by well known artists, African tribal arts in the form of tribal masks, wood carvings, and ethnic cloth are among the many wonderful original items on sale.
